My not so good experience with MH2597 from Miri to Kuching on 23 May 2014

I bought 2 tickets for 23 May 2014 flights:
1. MH2597 - from Miri(6.15pm originally) To Kuching
2. MH2527 - from Kuching (9.30pm) to Klia

Flight MH2597 (Miri-Kuching-Klia) was delayed and only departed from Miri at 8.15pm...I asked one of the MAS staff at departure Gate counter if I still can catch my MH2527 flight (scheduled to depart at 9.30pm) and what should I do if I missed 2527 flight..
She refer my question to one male staff there and he said "sempat sampai, kalau lambat pun dia orang akan tunggu" without even looking at me...
I wasn't satisfied with the man's answer..I asked her again ," apa nak buat kalau missed juga?"..she told me to go to MAS counter at Kuching airport when I reached there... "OK" I said.

Here come the worst part....
I was among the lasts who boarded flight MH2527..When I stepped on the plane, a rare-haired steward in his 40's (whom I believe the "ketua pramugara" asked and insisted to tag my luggage and put in kargo since no more space to keep luggage on the plane (according to him)...
I didn't aggree and explained to him that I wanted to catch up my next 9.30pm flight from Kuching..if he put my luggage in the cargo, I had to spend another 30 minutes to 1 hour to walk to luggage area and wait for my luggage to arrive.. and after that come back to bording area thru security and immigration check..and by the time I arrive at boarding area, it would be too late to arrange for the next flight (the last flight to Klia from Kuching was at 10pm)...

he told me " itu saya tak tahu, apa yang saya tahu kalau tak ada space lagi, luggage kena masuk kargo..."
So, I suggested to him (the ketua pramugara) to put my luggage at business class overhead compartment since I noticed there was a lot of empty space they....He said with rough tone, "sana tak boleh"
So I told him that I would try to find a space ... he said "ok , u pergi cari sendiri kalau boleh jumpa"

I walked all the way to the back and yes all compartments were full..
A young steward came to me and ask to take my luggage..I told him that I didn't want my luggage to be put in cargo.
..He said he only want to put my luggage at the front (business class area) ...I thanked him

We landed at Kuching airport at 9.20pm , and I stepped my foot at boarding area around 9.35pm...MH2527 had takeoff...
I missed my flight again.....
I straight away went to MAS transit counter (luckly the ketua pramugara didn't manage to put my luggage in the cargo) to arrange for next flight.. after the man done the checking he gave me a new boarding pass,
the same flight - MH2597...Syukur Alhamdulilah.. I don't have to spend my night in Kuching..

What I'm trying to say here?
I wasn't mad because of flight delay..In fact MAS did a good job by informing passenggers via SMS and phone..flight delay is NORMAL.

Why I was not very happy was because the attitude of a male staff at boarding gate counter - "sempat sampai, kalau lambat pun dia orang akan tunggu"

..And what made me so damn angry was the ignorance of the "ketua pramugara" who wasn't sensitve to a passenger like me who was likely to miss another flight due to the delay...he didn't want to put my luggage at business class are even though there was lot of empty space..and inssisted to tag my luggage and put in cargo .. he was so arrogant for a cabin crew leader...

..and I would like to express my apreciation and gratitude to the young steward of flight MH2597 who helped me by putting my luggage at business class overhead compartment , and also to staff at Kuching Airport transit counter.

I've been flying with MAS for more than 30 times this year (Enrich silver member) and this was the worst..

However I love flying with MAS nevertheless..and MAS is still my choice..
